[edit]This is a survey of Plato's thinking about politics, ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics. We will focus on a careful and critical reading of the primary texts, and attempt to get a sense both of their historical and cultural specificity, as well as their interest more generally as sources of philosophical insight.
