[edit]The course includes the following topics: • Acoustic phonetics: Speech sound production, transmission and perception; Acoustic properties of frequency, amplitude and waveform. • Tools and techniques: Waveform analysis; Spectral analysis. • Vowel, Consonants and Suprasegmental acoustics: There is also a practical component of hands-on experiment to train in data collection, analysis and interpretation.
