BML790 : Modern Medicine: An Engineering perspective
[edit]The course will cover an overview of patho-physiology of some of the common non-communicable human diseases. Details of Cerebral Ischemia/Stroke, Diabetes and cardiac abnormalities will be discussed. With respect to each diseases the corresponding diagnostic techniques, tools, and physical principles of these instruments will be discussed. Students will be encouraged with lateral thinking and brain storming future engineering research potentials in improvement of current diagnostic and treatment modalities.
