The Central Library of IIT Delhi is one of the largest academic libraries in India, serving the research and academic needs of the institute's students, faculty, and staff.

Overview
The Central Library houses an extensive collection of books, journals, theses, and digital resources across all disciplines offered at IIT Delhi. It provides access to thousands of e-journals, e-books, and databases through institutional subscriptions.
The library is spread across multiple floors and includes dedicated sections for textbooks, reference materials, theses, periodicals, Hindi literature, and a book bank facility.
Facilities
Reading Halls
The library has multiple reading halls with seating capacity for hundreds of students. These are available for quiet study and are open extended hours during examination periods.
Book Bank
The Book Bank provides textbooks on loan for the entire semester to students, particularly those receiving financial aid or scholarships.
Textbook & Theses Section
Located on the ground floor, this section houses course textbooks, past theses and dissertations from IIT Delhi students.
Hindi Collection
A dedicated section for Hindi language books and literature.
Digital Library
Computer terminals are available for accessing e-resources, online databases, and the WebOPAC system.

Off-Campus Access
IIT Delhi provides off-campus access to subscribed e-resources through an institutional proxy/VPN system. Students and faculty can access journals and databases from outside the campus network.

Guidelines for Fair Use of E-Resources
Electronic resources subscribed by the Central Library are strictly for academic use:
- Downloading or printing single copies of articles for personal academic use is permitted
- Systematic or bulk downloading of entire journal issues or volumes is prohibited
- Use of robots, spiders, or automated tools for downloading is prohibited
- Redistribution or commercial use of licensed content is prohibited
Violations may result in the publisher blocking access for the entire IIT Delhi community.
How to Obtain No Dues
- Students: Submit the No Dues form at the circulation counter after returning all borrowed items
- Ph.D. Students: Additional requirement to submit thesis as per library guidelines
- Late Fees: Can be paid at the library counter
