The organization’s primary objective is to bridge the gap between contemporary academic life and the rich tapestry of Indian literary history, ensuring that the nuances of traditional literature and etiquette remain vibrant among the scientific community. Through a structured framework of four major departments or verticals, each led by dedicated directors, the Samiti oversees a comprehensive year-long calendar of events that range from technical workshops on poetic meter to large-scale national competitions.
A central pillar of the club’s activities is the cultivation of poetic excellence through its focus on classical verse and the art of the Ghazal. Recognizing that creative expression requires both inspiration and technical proficiency, Hindi Samiti organizes specialized workshops that delve into the intricate mechanics of Urdu and Hindi poetry, such as the study of poetic meter, refrain, and rhyme. These educational sessions are designed to introduce novices to the traditions of legendary poets while refining the skills of seasoned student writers. One of its most distinctive programs is Chakravyuh, an inter-hostel quiz competition centered on the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, and ancient Indian history. In the realm of formal rhetoric, the club hosts Tejohm, a national-level traditional debate competition held in honor of National Youth Day. Similarly, Kaavya Tarang serves as a major attraction during Rendezvous, the institute's cultural fest, featuring legendary figures and contemporary masters of the craft. Collaborative efforts like By The Chai, an open-mic session held in partnership with the Music and Literary clubs, demonstrate the Samiti’s inclusive approach to campus culture, blending music, storytelling, and poetry in an informal setting.
