The IIT Delhi campus hosts a wide variety of dining options ranging from hostel night messes and juice shops to cafes, canteens, and restaurants. These establishments cater to the diverse tastes of the student body and faculty, with options available from early morning through late at night.

Night Messes

Night messes are informal late-night food outlets operated within or adjacent to hostels. They typically open in the evening and serve until late at night, offering quick meals, snacks, and beverages outside of regular mess hours. Most night messes serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Cafes and Restaurants

Nescafe

The Nescafe outlet is one of the most frequented spots on campus, serving as a go-to destination for coffee, brownies, choco-lava cakes, doughnuts, and other snacks. All items are eggless. The outlet remains open until late into the night, making it popular for late-night study sessions.

Cafe Coffee Day

A franchise of Cafe Coffee Day is located in the Main Building at the ground floor. The cafe serves cheesecakes, brownies, and a full range of coffee beverages. It provides a quiet space to relax between classes.

Amul

The Amul outlet is a prominent landmark on campus, frequented by students and faculty alike. It offers a variety of ice cream flavours, milkshakes, sandwiches, and patties.

Rajdhani

Rajdhani offers a wide variety of food, ranging from fresh juices and milkshakes to full meals. Notable items include Dal Makhani, parathas, and Afghani chicken tikka rolls.

Delhi 16

Located between the boys' hostels, Delhi 16 is a popular outlet for fried rice, rolls, and other quick bites.

SBI Chai

A tea stall known for its chai and peri-peri sandwiches. It is a popular stop for students seeking a quick and affordable snack.

Staff Canteen

The Staff Canteen is located below Naivaidyam in the Synergy building. It serves samosas, kachoris, chilly potato, and other snacks. It is one of the few outlets that remains open when hostel night messes are closed.

Bikanerwala

Bikanerwala is a popular vegetarian restaurant on campus, known for its hot and steamy North Indian dishes. It is especially frequented after examinations. The menu includes chhola bhature, a wide variety of sweets, and other traditional items. IIT Delhi students receive a discount at this outlet.

Naivaidyam

Naivaidyam is located above the Staff Canteen and serves authentic South Indian cuisine. Daily specials ensure variety, with must-try items including crispy Mysore Masala Dosa and Podi Idli.

BIKKgane Biryani

BIKKgane Biryani is located in the IIT market and specialises in biryani, offering both Hyderabadi chicken and vegetable dum biryani. It is a popular choice during lunch breaks and post-class hours.

Tealogy

Tealogy is an air-conditioned cafe in the IIT market. It serves Maggi, rolls, tea, and a variety of beverages, providing a comfortable space to relax between classes.

Mughlai Corner

Located near the JNU Gate, this outlet serves Mughlai cuisine. Recommended items include chicken tikkas, honey chilli potato, and shahi paneer.
