XYW214) / XYZ234 This course will involve conducting research using textual, archival or field based data; identifying challenges and exploring ways of dealing with them; navigating ethical issues; interpreting texts, field data and data from other sources; breaking down data into themes, codes and categories for analysis; analysing data; and writing. Students will learn to collect data or develop the resources to work with different media, corpuses and archives; organize the material thematically and as responses to the pertinent research questions; write clearly, structure their arguments and communicate their ideas concerning the chosen topics.
