About IIT Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi or IIT-D) is a public institute of technology located in Delhi, India. Established in 1961, it is one of the 23 IITs and an Institution of Eminence.

The campus spans 320 acres (1.3 km²) in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, bordered by the Sri Aurobindo Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru University Complex, the National Council of Educational Research and Training, Qutub Minar, and the Hauz Khas monuments.

IIT Delhi is consistently ranked among the top engineering institutions in India and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across its departments, centres, and schools.
