Girnar is one of the newest and biggest hostels in IIT Delhi, opened in 2011. The distinctive red-bricked building has a capacity of over 650 residents, making it one of the largest hostels on campus. Being a newer hostel, Girnar features modern amenities and architecture.

All hostels at IIT Delhi share a common set of facilities:

Each hostel operates in a fully cooperative mode with elected student leadership under faculty mentorship:
